Why the Pear Tree Purton?

The Pear Tree Purton is a beautiful venue full of character and warm natural light. It boasts too all the mod cons you would expect from a world class wedding venue. Set in gorgeous grounds, the venue offered ample space for all their guests to enjoy and create beautiful memories of Jenna and Andrew’s special day.

A Burgundy and Teal Wedding Colour Palette

Andew and Jenna chose a burgundy and teal wedding palette as their colour scheme to make a strong statement. A statement that our wedding couple, their wedding party and the venue carried off beautifully. Strong colours for sure. But, when used sparingly, they created a beautiful tapestry for our couple to express their personality and preferences.

The Wedding Party Attire

Jenna wore a gorgeous white off-the-shoulder wedding gown with a show-stopping veil! A chapel length vision of soft cream tulle with gold thread embellishments. It was truly beautiful.

Jenna’s three gorgeous bridesmaids all wore long teal gowns of soft flowing crepe in different styles.

The burgundy and teal wedding theme continued through the attire worn by the groom’s party. The groom wore a navy suit with a beige tweed waistcoat. The groomsmen wore navy three-piece suits. The groom and his groomsmen all looked very dashing in their burgundy ties. Then they added the buttonholes created with silk florals to complete the look.

Burgundy and Teal Wedding Florals

As their florist and stylist, I was able to advise Jenna and Andrew of the options open to them for their floral décor for their Pear Tree Purton wedding venue. Whether to opt for fresh or silk flowers and foliage and the benefits of both.

In an effort to do their bit for our beautiful planet, Jenna an Andrew chose to have all their wedding florals created with beautiful silk flowers. This meant the wedding party could keep their florals as a beautiful reminder of the part they played in the couple’s wedding day celebrations.

To achieve a cohesive look throughout the wedding from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast, the teal element of the burgundy and teal wedding colour palette were the bridesmaids’ dresses and the colour of the table names.

Teal is a strong colour so we sprinkled it sparingly throughout the wedding. The main floral colours were fuchsias and burgundy on a base of green silk foliage.

A vibrant colour palette which complemented the teal of the bridesmaids’ gowns beautifully. The colours chosen also complemented the colours of the groom and groomsmen’s suits.

The centrepiece arrangements for the guest tables were created with fresh greenery and silk blooms in the colour in the burgundy and fuchsia colour palette. Creating a fresh natural arrangement that was displayed atop tall gold stands on each guest table.

Sweet Treats

The couple gave each guest a beautifully decorated and boxed cupcake. These were made by the one of Jenna’s bridesmaids as a wedding gift for the couple. I thought this was such a beautiful gesture from one friend to another.

Jenna and Andrew came to us through a local wedding show. We then exchanged a few emails and had a first call where we hit it off straight away. It was a joy to discover their wedding plans and their vision for their wedding day at the Pear Tree Purton.

Sandra was truly incredible from the day we met to the week following the wedding. Her and her team are friendly, professional, helpful and know how to execute a basic brief into a creative masterpiece.

We first met Sandra at a wedding show when we were enchanted by her show pieces. The creativity and range she shows with the various themes was wonderful.

After a great first discussion we bought into who she was as a person and whole heartedly trusted her throughout the process. She listened intently to our vision and she couldn’t have done a more incredible job on the day. Having someone take the stress out of setting up and packing down the following day made such a huge difference and allowed me to truly enjoy every second.

We even had a vase break thanks to a clumsy groomsman and the cost for replacement was beyond fair. All communications was dealt with in a respectful and upfront way so no misinterpretation about the scenario could be made. I loved how easy and clear this was made to us in a positive way.
